About this course
This course will help you learn about the basic tasks and features in ASPeN.
2 hours - 2 CE credits in Technology

ASPeN
ASPeN is an acronym for: Access to Services, Programs, and eNetworks.
This product provides a variety of services for Montana's library community. Members of the public can search ASPeN to find a nearby library or learn more about their local library. ASPeN users can update their library's information, enroll in certain services, keep track of their continuing education, and complete paperwork required by the Montana State Library.
Required Activities
The activities in this course are designed to teach you about how to use ASPeN.
The lesson "Using ASPeN" will allow you to choose your role (Director or Designee, Trustee, or Library Staff) and learn about ASPeN from that perspective. Quiz questions are embedded in the lesson to help you remember what you have learned.
There are three assignments to complete that ask you to apply what you learned by logging in to ASPeN and then submitting a simple screenshot to show what you learned.
- The continuing education certificate is embedded in the last section of the course. It will unlock when you have finished the course.
- Please download and save/print the certificate when you complete the course.
- A badge will automatically be awarded and added to your MSL Learn profile.
Claim CE Credit
Claim MSL Continuing Education credits by logging in to ASPeN and using the Continuing Education Control Panel. Select the course from the dropdown list of Independent Learning events, click Go!, and the credit will be saved to your certification record.Use the Course Index on the left to move on to the Words to Know activity.
