    Purpose of the Elective Roadmap to Library Excellence

    • Voluntary Tool: The roadmap is not mandatory but is designed to help libraries go beyond the baseline Public Library Standards.
    • Origins: Created in response to feedback from the library community seeking more aspirational goals.
    • Goal: Encourage libraries to explore practical and aspirational improvements in service, staff development, and community engagement.
