Hey Molly!

Thanks for being the first non MSL staffer to make an introduction! You've got a good alter ego there. Do you have a favorite among your past projects?

Well, I really enjoyed a recent event at the library. This December we partnered with Sprouts (of One Health) and local volunteers to have Santa and Mrs. Claus visit. It was a definite success for our youngest patrons, I think, because we included singing of carols and listening to Santa read "The Night Before Christmas" before kids visited with him and said what they wanted for Christmas. So, I think we modeled some good early literacy education methods, and we threw in extras for parents, too, because Sprouts donated take-home activity sheets that gave our parents more opportunities to help their kids with pre-reading skills.

Talking, reading, singing, and encouraging parents to continue that work at home. That sounds like a really good program!
